Pirelli to reveal Sebastian Vettel tyre findings at Italian GP

Pirelli has said it will present the result of its investigation into Sebastian Vettel's tyre failure at Spa at the Italian GP this weekend.

Vettel lost out on third place at the Belgian GP a fortnight ago after his Ferrari's right-rear tyre failed on the penultimate lap.

The four-time world champion hit out afterwards, labelling the quality of Pirelli's tyres as "appalling".

In response, Pirelli questioned Ferrari's decision to try and run the tyres for 29 laps of the Spa circuit, which places heavy stresses on them. Nico Rosberg's Mercedes had already suffered a tyre failure during Friday practice.

Pirelli launched investigations into both incidents and ahead of this week's race at Monza, it says it will publish its findings.

"We have finalised the investigation into Sebastian Vettel's tyre at Spa. Detailed conclusions from the technical analysis will be presented at Monza," Pirelli motorsport director Paul Hembery said.
