Irina-Camelia Begu beats Aliaksandra Sasnovich in Korea final

Top seed Irina-Camelia Begu ended the dream run of qualifier Aliaksandra Sasnovich in a one-sided final of the WTA Tour's Korea Open.

Begu needed only 78 minutes to beat Sasanovich 6-3 6-1 to claim her second title on tour, the 25-year-old's only previous success having come in Tashkent three years ago.

Sasnovich came into the final on the back of potentially career-defining wins over third seed Sloane Stephens and second-ranked Anna Karolina Schmiedlova, but was left to rue some dreadful serving.

She served seven double faults in the first set alone, with Begu taking her chance to claim the advantage, and the top seed proved just as ruthless in the second.
