Beckham punishes Arsenal-supporting son... by getting him to sing a Tottenham chant

David Beckham showed once again that he is one of the most charitable and good-natured footballers on the planet on Tuesday night when his latest documentary aired for the first time - though his Arsenal-supporting son may not be quite so fond of his mischievous dad.

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid legend embarked on a round-the-world football extravaganza to raise money for Unicef, setting himself the incredible challenge of playing a football match on all seven continents of the globe.

Beckham won the hearts of football fans worldwide with his amazing trip in the BBC documentary, For The Love Of The Game, with many viewers even taking to Twitter to call for the 40-year-old to be knighted.

Pavel Srnicek: Former Newcastle keeper dies aged 47

Former Newcastle United keeper Pavel Srnicek

Former Newcastle United goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek has died at the age of 47, nine days after suffering cardiac arrest in his native Czech Republic.
A big favourite with fans during his first spell at St James' Park between 1991 and 1998, Srnicek collapsed while jogging on 20 December.
He was taken to a hospital in Ostrava and placed in an induced coma.
Srnicek, who also played for Sheffield Wednesday, Portsmouth and West Ham, made 49 appearances for his country.
His agent, Steve Wraith, said brain scans had shown "irreversible damage" and the decision "had to be taken" to switch off his life support machine.
Wraith added: "Pav passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, 29 December 2015, with his family by his side."

Golf:Tiger Woods at 40 and his 14-time major champion's legacy

Imagine Earl Woods choosing to put a baseball bat rather than a golf club into the hands of young Eldrick, his toddler son.

How different would golf be if Tiger Woods, who turns 40 on 30 December, had chosen to play something else?

As the ailing 14-time major champion struggles to swing a club again, he can celebrate this landmark birthday by reflecting that no-one has had a bigger impact on the game.

Would modern-day golf be as athletic or back in the Olympics without his influence? "I doubt it," European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke told the BBC.

"All sports progress, all sports move forward. Tennis has changed immensely as well over the years.

"But golf was somewhat slower to adapt to all that stuff. With all the technology we have now, fitness has become a huge part of it and I think Tiger led the way."

Rugby:Sonny Bill Williams criticised for dead Syrian children photos

Sonny Bill Williams celebrates New Zealand's win at the Rugby World Cup
Rugby union star Sonny Bill Williams has posted graphic images of dead children on Twitter after a visit to Syrian refugee camps in Lebanon.
Williams, who played a starring role in New Zealand's Rugby World Cup win, was in Lebanon as a Unicef ambassador.
On Tuesday night he tweeted graphic images of two bodies, adding, "What did these children do to deserve this?"
But the UN children's agency objected to his use of the images, and said Williams had not consulted its staff.
"We see it as a fundamental infringement of those children's rights," Unicef spokesman Patrick Rose told the New Zealand Herald.
Although it was clear that Williams had been deeply moved by his visit to Lebanon, Mr Rose said it was better to provide a "positive framework for people to respond" by offering children clean water and counselling.
