Chelsea are in a bad way but there has been no breakdown in communication, says Eden Hazard

The winger admits the Blues are "in a bad way" following their poor start to the season but insists there is open to dialogue as to how they can turn their fortunes around

Eden Hazard has admitted Chelsea are "in a bad way" but insists there has been no breakdown in communication at the club despite their miserable run of form.

The Belgium international scored 14 goals and was named the Premier League's player of the year last season but has been criticised for his performances as the Blues have slipped to 15th in the table.

Speculation has also surrounded Hazard's relationship with Jose Mourinho after he was dropped for the victory over Aston Villa, but the winger says there is open dialogue within the club as to how they can turn their season around.

"In a good moment or in a bad moment, we are professional," he told the club's official website. "Personally I don't read the newspapers. I try to focus only on my football and win games.

"I need to train and try to forget everything and be a better player. It is the case I learn every day now. We try to speak about it together. The communication is very important.

"We know when we are in a bad way we need to keep going with communication.

"People are sad when you don't win but the communication is very important and we did very well because every day we spoke together, and this is good.

"We need to keep going in training; we want to improve together and just want to win matches. We know the season after you are champion, it is difficult as everybody wants to beat you.

"We missed chances, I missed penalties, it's very difficult but we need to keep going and improve."
