Messi could become the undisputed Clasico King

As Barcelona face arch-rivals Real Madrid on Saturday, the Argentina international forward could add another prestigious record to his long list of achievements in the game

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi could add another record to his collection with a goal in the crunch match against Real Madrid on Saturday, making the Argentine the top scorer in league Clasicos.

Messi currently holds the record in conjunction with Madrid legend Alfredo di Stefano, as the pair both have 14 goals in Clasicos in La Liga, but the Barcelona forward could move ahead and claim the title as his own with a goal on Saturday.

But there are some doubts about Messi's fitness, with the 28-year-old forced to sit on the sidelines with a knee injury since September, but the Argentine has resumed first-team training this week and could be in contention for a starting spot.
