
Home favourite Ze Zhang will have the support of the National Tennis Center in Beijing when he takes to the court for arguable the biggest match of his life against world No 1 Novak Djokovic at the China Open on Thursday.
The world No 219 will be looking to follow up his victory against Denis Istomin against the top seed and five-time China winner Djokovic.
Top-ranked Djokovic improved to 25-0 at with his impressive first-round win against Simone Bolelli of Italy on Tuesday and will now be seeking another victory to seal his semi-final spot.
Djokovic, who has won three out of the four Grand Slam titles this year, is enjoying quite a run in China. His winning streak started in 2009, when he won the first of his five titles at the tournament. He has dropped only three sets out of 51 in his five appearances. He didn't play in 2011.
In arguably the match of the day, world No 17 David Goffin takes on Italy's favourite tennis son Fabio Fognini.
Also in action, big Ivo Karlovic will be targeting a passage through against Tomas Berdych's conqueror Pablo Cuevas while Australian world No 76 John Millman will tackle another huge-serve in John Isner.
