ATP Erste Bank Open 2015 Thursday at the Tennis

Top seeds David Ferrer, Kevin Anderson and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will all be aiming for a place in the quarter-finals of the Erste Bank Open on an action-packed Thursday in Vienna - live on Sky Sports 3 HD from 2pm.

Tireless competitor Ferrer beat fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas in the first round and now faces another countryman in the shape of Guillermo Garcia-Lopez for a spot in the last eight.

Ferrer, who won the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month, is showing fine form, but the world No 25 should prove tougher opposition.

Second-seed and US Open quarter-finalist Anderson takes on young Czech Jiri Vesely, while Tsonga, the fourth seed, faces Vesely's countryman Lukas Rosol.

Both Anderson and Tsonga still harbour hopes of making it through to the ATP World Tour Finals at London's O2 but know they must probably win the tournament to stand any chance of qualifying with Ferrer in pole position for the final spot.

The final singles match of the day will see flamboyant Frenchman Gael Monfils tackle Paolo Lorenzi from Italy.

In a strange twist of fate, Britain's Jamie Murray will go up against his future doubles partner Bruno Soares in the doubles competition.

On Wednesday, Murray announced that he is to end his partnership with Australia's John Peers at the end of this season.

Wimbledon and the US Open doubles finalists Murray and Peers face Brazil's Soares and Alexander Peya for a place in the semi-finals.
