Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against the FA and the Lithuanian Football Federation following crowd trouble during England’s 3-0 win over Lithuania in Vilnius.
Disturbances broke out just before kick-off at the last of England’s Euro 2016 qualifying games, prompting riot police to enter a stand.
The LFF has also been charged over breaches of ticketing rules and for having blocked stairways. It appeared some England fans without tickets gained access to sections reserved for home supporters. The cases will be heard on 22 October.
England won 3-0 with goals from Ross Barkley and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, either side of an own goal from Lithuania keeper Giedrius Arlauskis.
The victory meant Roy Hodgson’s side won all 10 of their qualifying matches for next summer’s European Championship in France.
