Champions League qualifying stage updates


Kazakhstan recorded a milestone achievements yesterday when Astana fc became the first side from the country to qualifies for the group stage of Champions League after their 1-1 draw with APOEL NICOSA after taking 1-0 advantage in the first-leg at home.

Meanwhile, CSKA mounted a stunning revival against Sporting as they came back from 2-1 deficit from first-leg in Portugal a week ago to beat Sporting 3-1 at home making 4-3 on aggregate

Elsewhere, BATE  Borisov progressed on away goals despite a 2-1 defeat at Partizan.

Manchester united proved too difficult for Fc brugge to handle as they beat them 4-0 at home with Rooney getting hat-trick making it 7-1 aggregates.
