Dafne Schippers upgraded to gold in a breathtaking 200m final at the world championships in Beijing while Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith finished out of the medals she broke the 30-year-old British record on her way to finishing fifth.
Schippers, silver medallist over 100m, clocked 21.63sec to become the third fastest woman over 200m in history and take victory ahead of the Jamaican pair Elaine Thompson and Veronica Campbell-Brown.
