The striker achieved the feat by scoring 4 goals in 8-0 thumping of Malmo FF in their last final group matches in group A matches played on Tuesday night.
Ronaldo was joint holder of the record with Luiz Adriano before scoring 4 goals in Tuesday night game to become the holder.
