Real Madrid are lining up Zinedine Zidane as Rafa Benitez's replacement, according to L'Equipe.
The report claims that Madrid president Florentino Perez has lost confidence in Benitez, while appointing Zidane as head coach has been his dream.
It's now suggested that Zidane "is at the gates of the great Real Madrid", while Benitez is one bad result away from getting sacked.
Despite receiving public backing from Perez at the end of November, Benitez's position has become unstable once again after Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Villarreal left the club five points behind Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
