Gary Anderson will retain his title at the World Darts Championship, says Eric Bristow.
The Flying Scotsman lifted the ultimate prize in darts last January at Ally Pally but has been backed to win consecutive trophies this year when the tournament restarts.
The World Darts Championship will be live on Sky Sports between December 17-January 3.
I'm tipping Anderson to win it again this year.
"I think Anderson might do it again," Bristow told Sky Sports. "I'm tipping Anderson to win it again this year.
"James Wade could win it, but there's so many good players."
The Crafty Cockney won five world titles in the 1980s and has since hung up his darts to become a Sky Sports expert.
But he still remembers the buzz of darts' biggest events and revealed the emotional rollercoaster that players will go through.
He said: "I was favourite in the first two years that it started, in '78 and '79. I was favourite but lost!"
"[My titles] are all special in different ways. It depends who you beat - sometimes you don't like a player and if you beat him in the final it's even better!
"I love the Worlds even though it kills my Christmas. You see the ups-and-downs of the players and how upset they are. They can cry and bang their heads against the wall and punch walls.
"This is their dream. And for some, the dream will be gone, and they've got to wait a year to put that right."
