David Beckham showed once again that he is one of the most charitable and good-natured footballers on the planet on Tuesday night when his latest documentary aired for the first time - though his Arsenal-supporting son may not be quite so fond of his mischievous dad.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid legend embarked on a round-the-world football extravaganza to raise money for Unicef, setting himself the incredible challenge of playing a football match on all seven continents of the globe.
Beckham won the hearts of football fans worldwide with his amazing trip in the BBC documentary, For The Love Of The Game, with many viewers even taking to Twitter to call for the 40-year-old to be knighted.
"Football has given me everything," he said. "Now I want to give something back and I want to see how the power of football can unite people around the world."
Visiting 11 countries in 10 days, Beckham played matches everywhere from a refugee camp in Djibouti to a World Heritage Site in Nepal, but it was in between playing in Antarctica (yes, really) and Miami that he showed his cheekier side.
The father of four was on the phone to Arsenal-loving son Romeo, who had stayed up past his bed time to speak to his Dad on the other side of the world, when he delivered a dastardly ultimatum.
"If you sing a Tottenham song to me, as an Arsenal fan, I won't tell your mum [you're still up]," joked Beckham, though we never found out if young Romeo did belt out a verse of Oh When The Spurs Go Marching In to escape the wrath of mother Victoria!
Beckham has form for winding up his brood of children, famously video-bombing eldest son Brooklyn to brag about his Instagram follower count, though the teenager had the last laugh over Christmas, pranking his Dad with Quality Street after he had fallen asleep.
