Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid could be ban for transfer irregularities like Barcelona, says Blatter

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has confirmed that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been investigated for the same transfer irregularities which led to Barcelona's ban from the market.

The European champions were barred from signing players for two transfer windows after breaking rules concerning the purchase of players under the age of 18.

And now Blatter, who is currently suspended from his role, has called for the two clubs in the Spanish capital to face the same punishment if they are found guilty.

"The Fifa Disciplinary Committee did indeed open similar files on Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for the same infractions committed by Barcelona," Blatter told Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona's current ban ends in time for the January transfer window, when they will finally be cleared to register summer signings Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal.
