Juventus break club record with Genoa victory
The Italian champions have won 13 straight Serie A games for the first time ever by recording a home triumph over Gian Piero Gasperini's side on Wednesday night

Juventus set a new club record of 13 straight Serie A wins by beating Genoa on Wednesday night.

Massimiliano Allegri's side earned a 1-0 victory at Juventus Stadium thanks to Sebastian De Maio's early own goal.

Juve won only one of their first six league games this season but their phenomenal run since then has boosted them back up to second in the table.

Napoli continue to lead Serie A by two points, with Maurizio Sarri's men enjoying a 2-0 victory away at Lazio to ensure Juventus were not able to retake top spot.

After a visit to Frosinone on Sunday, the Bianconeri take on Napoli at home on February 13.

Juventus's previous record run of 12 consecutive wins came during the 2013-14 season, when they won the Scudetto by a remarkable 17-point margin.
