Kevin Pietersen has apologised to Quetta Gladiators fans after failing to inspire them to victory in the Pakistan Super League final against Islamabad United.
Pietersen scored 18 runs before being caught out as Quetta scored 174-7 at the inaugural PSL event in Dubai on Tuesday night.
In reply, Dwayne Smith hit 73 and Brad Haddin 61no as Islamabad overhauled them with 175-4 with eight balls to spare.
In a tweet in Urdu, Pietersen vowed to Quetta fans he would try to do better next time.
