Ajax wonderkid Bazoer: I want to join Barcelona
The 19-year-old is seen as one of Netherlands biggest talents and rejected the chance to join Napoli in January, hoping his next step is to the world and European champions

Ajax midfielder Riechedly Bazoer has revealed that he wants to make a move to Barcelona within the next three years.

The 19-year-old midfielder is currently in his first full season of senior football but is regarded as one of the brightest talents in the country, having rejected interest from Manchester City to join Ajax after leaving PSV in 2012.

Ajax agreed to sell the Netherlands international to Napoli in January in a deal which would have seen him move to Serie A for a reported initial fee of €25 million, with the Dutch club receiving a further €25m in add-ons.

However, Bazoer rejected the chance to team up with Gonzalo Higuain and Marek Hamsik in Italy and instead hopes he can make the step up to the current world and European champions in the near future.

"I hope I can leave in two or three years to my join dream club Barcelona," he told Helden. "That tiki-taka style of football suits me.

"At the moment, I am not scoring enough goals, but I'm working on that. I must become even more important for the team.

"My ultimate dream is to pull my car up at Barcelona in five years and win trophies. Hopefully everone knows me by then."

Bazoer, who is contracted to Ajax until 2020, has scored three goals in 18 Eredivisie games this term and has previously named Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi as his favourite players.
