The Wales international is demanding a massive pay increase from Real Madrid, which has made many of his team-mates unhappy as his performances have not merited it
Gareth Bale has demanded a vast wage increase in his new contract at Real Madrid, much to the annoyance of others in the dressing room, according to Sport.
The Wales attacker is shining after a starring role in Wales' Euro 2016 campaign, having guided his country to the semi-finals, while he made the shortlist for UEFA's Best Player award after winning the Champions League with Madrid.
Now, the 27-year-old is demanding a massive €17 million per year at the Santiago Bernabeu in his next contract.
The former Tottenham Hotspur player is currently contracted to the club until 2019, but hopes to tie up a new deal in the future.
Many of his team-mates, however, have been irritated by Bale's demands, as they feel his performances do not merit such a rise, and the newspaper states a bit of a mutiny is rising in the dressing room.
