Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren to run at Pirelli wet tyre test

Ferrari, Red Bull and McLaren will take part in a wet weather test for Pirelli at Paul Ricard at the end of January.

The three teams will be the only runners at the two-day test on January 25 and 26 at the high-tech test track in the south of France.

The running will focus solely on the full wet tyre, with different prototypes of the blue-banded rubber being tested.

No intermediate tyres will be used during the two days of running.

As of yet no drivers have been confirmed for the test at Paul Ricard and Pirelli say details of the test programme will become available in the coming days.

The first proper pre-season test will take place at the Circuit de Catalunya on the outskirts of Barcelona on February 22-25, with the final four days of running on March 1-4 at the same venue.
