UFC 197 could feature Conor McGregor and Holly Holm world title fights

Ireland's Conor McGregor could return in March
Conor McGregor v Rafael dos Anjos and Holly Holm v Miesha Tate have reportedly been targeted for UFC 197 on March 5.

The two world championship fights for the Las Vegas event have not been officially confirmed, but could be announced in the coming days.

Bleacher Report reported that new featherweight champion McGregor will be the UFC 197's main-event as he steps up to 155lbs to challenge for Dos Anjos' lightweight title.

Victory would make McGregor just the third fighter to ever hold two UFC titles in different weight classes - and the first to own more than one belt simultaneously.

Holm, meanwhile, is reportedly defending her women's bantamweight title in the night's co main-event against No 2-ranked challenger Tate.

It means Ronda Rousey, who was sensationally knocked out by Holm in November, will be forced to wait for her rematch.

Holm had shared the news via her Facebook page before quickly deleting it - but the champion's Jackson-Winkeljohn training camp have posted confirmation on Instagram saying "it's on".
