The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has said the Ondo governorship election will be an improvement over last month’s governorship election in Edo State.
The commission, according to its Director Voter Education and Publicity, Oluwole Uzi, is ahead in terms of preparation.
Besides, Uzi said INEC will be putting to use the few things learnt in the Edo election.
He also noted that unlike the Edo election, INEC is not envisaging an inconclusive election.
The INEC man said the 16,723 personnel to be deployed on the Election Day have been trained and they all know what to do.
Uzi also noted that all sensitive materials are on ground with proper logistics in place.
He said: “We are on ground. We have printed voter register for the election. We have gone very far. We are well ahead of schedule.
“We can even do better than what we did in Edo. Like I said, we are ahead of schedule. We have learnt a few things. Some good things we did right in Edo we hope to do better and the things that did not go on so well we hope to correct them, the few lapses.”
