Blind makes 100th Manchester United appearance

The Netherlands international hit a landmark in his Red Devils career on Thursday night as Jose Mourinho named him alongside Phil Jones in the heart of the defence

Daley Blind has made his 100th appearance for Manchester United in their Europa League clash against Feyenoord at Old Trafford.

Jose Mourinho named the Netherlands international in his starting line-up in central defence alongside Phil Jones for the must-win clash.

Blind was brought to Old Trafford from Ajax by Louis van Gaal in the summer of 2014.

He has gone on to become a key figure for the Red Devils, playing in a variety of roles due to his versatility.

While Van Gaal used Blind in midfield and defence during his time at the club, he has largely been played at centre-back or left-back by Jose Mourinho.

In 100 appearances, Blind has managed four goals for United, against West Brom, West Ham and Liverpool in the Premier League and Derby County in the FA Cup.
