Super Eagles captain speaks on his favourite position

 Super Eagles captain John Mikel Obi has commented on the comment on his best position.
Mikel Obi burst onto the scene as a No. 10 before moving to Chelsea where Jose Mourinho turned him into a defensive midfielder.
While he continues to play as a defensive midfielder for Chelsea, the 29-year-old midfielder is usually deployed as the second holding midfielder in the national team.
Speaking of the change, the Super Eagles captain reveals he enjoyed playing anywhere in the midfield.
"I grew up playing offensively for Nigeria but at #CFC I play in holding midfield. I just enjoy playing," Mikel told newsmen at the Super Eagles media parley on Friday, October 10.
Super Eagles chief coach, Salisu Yusuf earlier revealed that Mikel loves playing in the second holding midfield role.
“Mikel prefers to play as a second holding midfielder and not the more defensive position he plays at Chelsea,” Yusuf said in an interview programme on Channels TV on Friday, September 30.
  “We (Eagles coaches) sat down with him to discuss his preferred position and he told us he will rather play as a second holding player like what he did at the Rio Olympics. And that was also the position we played him against Tanzania and he played very well.”
 Mikel is expected to lead the Super Eagles as they take on Zambia away in a 2018 FIF World Cup qualifier.
