Mancini set for Inter exit

The former Manchester City boss has been unable to bring glory to San Siro in his second spell on the club's bench, and is reportedly discussing exit terms with directors

Roberto Mancini is set to leave his position as Inter coach, with negotiations taking place regarding a severance package.

Mancini returned for a second spell as Inter coach in November 2014, but he has been unable to replicate the success of his first stint when he won three Serie A titles.

His current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2017, but according to reports from Sky Sport Italia confirmed by Goal he has a strained relationship with Inter’s owners - and lawyers are now in talks over an agreement to mutually terminate his deal.

There have reportedly been disagreements regarding Inter’s summer transfer activity, while Mancini saw his side thrashed 6-1 by Tottenham in a pre-season friendly in Oslo on Friday.

The leading candidate to replace Mancini at Inter is reportedly former Ajax boss Frank de Boer, with the new Serie A season just two weeks away.
