A Gunners fan was left red-faced following the Algeria international signing a new deal with the Foxes, having posted an image on social media showing off his new strip
There's optimism, and then there's blind faith. While many Arsenal fans were hopeful the Emirates club could tie up a summer transfer for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez, this Goonerknew the deal would happen.
He was so sure, in fact, that he paid for the Algeria international's name and potential number on the back of the his Arsenal shirt and took to Instagram to show it off.
Of course, it didn't happen. Mahrez has since put pen to paper on a new, long-term deal at the King Power Stadium, keeping him at the club until 2020, and the red-faced Arsenal fan has deleted his post.
There's always one, isn't there?
