Liverpool's England contingent take part in first training session with Klopp

Jurgen Klopp has welcomed back five more players ahead of Liverpool's trip to Tottenham on Saturday.

Adam Lallana, Danny Ings, Nathaniel Clyne, Emre Can and Adam Bogdan have rejoined the squad following international duty and will feature in Tuesday afternoon's training session, their first under new boss Klopp.

The former Dortmund coach took charge of his first session on Monday afternoon with just nine first-teamers available.

Philippe Coutinho, James Milner, Daniel Sturridge, Mamadou Sakho, Lucas, Alberto Moreno, Kolo Toure, Dejan Lovren and Joao Teixeira all took part in a workout that lasted between 60-75 minutes.

The returning quintet will be closely monitored by the German as he looks to piece together his starting line-up and tactical plan for Saturday's trip to White Hart Lane to face Mauricio Pochettino's side.

In the build-up to the game, Spurs striker Harry Kane has revealed that his England colleagues "could not wait to get back" to Melwood in order to begin the new era at Anfield under Klopp.

And the England striker, who featured in both the Three Lions' European Championship qualification fixtures against Estonia and Lithuania, believes that the Reds are likely to be more fired up than usual following the appointment of the German.

"In the first couple of games after a managerial appointment everybody tries to impress so they will probably have that little 5% extra than usual," he said.

"Obviously Liverpool, with a new manager, will be up for it. But we know what we have to do."
